A late 17th century painted wooden figure of Bacchus

A late 17th century Flemish carved wooden polychrome figure of Bacchus. The figure is depicted bearing grapes, having grapes woven into his hair with a vine loin cloth and supported by a hopper of grapes; all rendered in naturalistic detail, even down to his rosy cheeks and buttocks. He retains its original paint.
